Dear Neighbors: Near the end of 2023, during normal state and town inspections, the Borough Fire Official notified us that be believed multiple violations existed in many units, including most significantly an assertion that the lower units could not have a bedroom in the bottom (parking lot) level room because the original paperwork filed by the developer listed them as ''recreation rooms,'' and further that they might not be egress requirements for multifamily dwellings. Naturally, after more than 40 years of silence on the issue the Board was taken aback by this new development. We immediately engaged with the Borough, both directly and through counsel, and have continued doing so to this point. We are in the process of putting together information laying out a range of potential response options relative to the assertions the Borough is now making, and will be holding an Association meeting in the very near future to discuss. In the meantime, we will continue to liaise with the fire official to ensure that this issue does not escalate any further while we explore all available options.
